About Jewel
In 2008 after 25 years of spiritual study, practice and training,
Jewel became ordained as an Interfaith Minister, from One Spirit
Interfaith Seminary in New York City. Jewel serves as a spiritual
mentor with One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, and has served as a Hospice
Bereavement Volunteer since 2006, co-founder of the “Step by
Step” Grief Hiking Group. Jewel leads “Just Sit” True
Meditation at
Community United Church of Christ. Jewel created the Ask
One Question global interactive community based project
and is the founder of Ministry for
the Trees Project and the "The
Contemplative Path to Silence".
The exploration of silence is the foundation for Jewel’s work.
Allowing what arises to be met in that vast spaciousness where all
things can be felt and witnessed with “Presence” frees
us from the stories that have defined and limited us. We begin to
sense we are so much more than we ever dreamed as we experience our
true nature, which is limitless. Moving in the world with a greater
sense of freedom and connectedness allows the creative impulse to
live through us uncorrupted and unfettered. This is the joy of “Being” and
Grace.
Jewel has had the immense good fortune to study, train and
apprentice with some extraordinary living masters, spiritual teachers
and healers. Each of these has contributed a piece of the quilt that
has become Jewel’s life expression and has shaped her work
over the years.
